The Handyman will be responsible for facility maintenance, to include:
Painting, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing related repairs to ensure the indoor and outdoor areas of the building are kept in good condition at General MRO Aerospace.
· Perform electrical repairs in community areas.
· Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
· Complete general building maintenance.
· Install and replace furniture, appliances and piping as needed.
· Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the building.
· Maintain trash and recycling receptacles around the facility.
· Analyze company’s appliances and equipment to detect any problems and fix them.
· Checking different common areas to see if there are any breakdowns or mechanical failures that they can repair.
Requirements
· Able to physically lift a minimum of 50 lbs
· Ability to safely use common power, hand tools and hardware equipment
· Basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical and customer service knowledge.
· HVAC knowledge and repair skills
· Experience installing and replacing plumbing systems
· Strong communication skills with managers and employees
· Self-starter with good time management skills
· This candidate will be skilled in a wide range of areas, but they will also be able to recognize when a repair is outside of their skill set and make a recommendation to their supervisor.
