Job Description
Half-time Preschool Paraprofessional at Meadow Ridge Elementary for the 2026-2027 School Year
Under the direction of a licensed teacher, responsible for assisting with the supervision of students in conjunction with or in the absence of the teacher, assisting with providing instruction or reinforcing curriculum with students, performing clerical work, implementing behavior modification strategies with students, reading to students, and/or administering assessments.
Location: Lochbuie, CO
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proof of either an Associate's Degree or 2 years (48 credit hours) at an institute of higher education preferred.
- Must have a valid Colorado Driver License with clean driving record to satisfy insurance requirements
- Current Colorado Level I credential or two (2) 3 credit college courses with one course being Intro to Early Childhood Education preferred
- At least twenty-four (24) months (3,640 hours) of verified early childhood experience preferred
- Must pass general background check & completion and submission of fingerprints also required upon hire. Preschool employees must be fingerprinted and complete a child abuse background check (TRAILS) every 5 years.
- Per Colorado law for early childhood education, employees must complete & pass the CDHS (child abuse) background check and a physical & required vaccines must be completed.
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Technology experience and training preferred
Salary/Work Schedule:
- Approximately 169 days per school year. Summers and Holidays off. Actual number of days prorated based on start date.
- Monday - Friday, approximately 20-23 hours/week
- $18.00 per hour or higher, based on experience level and the 2026-2027 Classified Pay Schedule. May receive up to 10 years of experience credit for verified work within the previous 13 years.
