HAL - Locksmith - PTAMI

Location: Indonesia - PTAMI

Reporting To: Safety officer

The Locksmith carries out repair, maintenance and replacement of doors, door locks and related hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Carries out the repair, maintenance and replacement of doors, door locks and related hardware (including passenger suitcases).
• Makes new and spare keys.
• Keeps inventory on tools and materials.
• Other duties as assigned by FTSO.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

License and/or schooling

• Flag State issued Seaman Book

Experience

• Prior experience at HAL preferred
• Minimum 2 years vessel experience.

Training required prior to boarding

• STCW – Basic Safety Training certificate (part 4)
• STCW – Familiarization and crowd management training
• STCW – Security Awareness

Physical Demands

• For the safety of yourself and others on board certain physical abilities are expected to be maintained.
• Must be able to bend, climb, perform repetitive motion, and repetitively heavy lift.
• Must be able to work varied shifts which can average up to 12 hours per day everyday while on board.
• Must maintain physical fitness to perform tasks associated with job.
