Job Description

• Provide professional hair services including cutting, styling, blowouts, shampooing, conditioning, coloring, highlighting, toning, and specialty treatments in accordance with spa standards.
• Conduct guest consultations to determine hair care needs and recommend appropriate services and products.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by creating a welcoming, personalized, and relaxing experience.
• Maintain current knowledge of hair trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education and training.
• Recommend and retail professional hair care products to guests.
• Maintain sanitation and disinfection standards for all tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with state licensing regulations and hotel policies.
• Ensure all styling stations are clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the day.
• Maintain accurate guest service records and appointment information.
• Collaborate with other spa team members to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Assist with inventory management by notifying management of product and supply needs.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
• Attend departmental meetings and required training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the operation of the spa.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods, up to 8 hours or more per shift.
• Frequent use of hands and arms for cutting, styling, brushing, shampooing, blow drying, coloring, and other hair services requiring fine motor skills.
• Frequent reaching above shoulder level and repetitive arm and wrist movements.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and twist while performing services or retrieving supplies.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis, including product boxes, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to move styling chairs, rolling carts, and salon equipment as needed.
• Ability to maintain manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination throughout the workday.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and coworkers in person and by telephone.
• Visual ability to distinguish hair color variations, read product labels, and perform detailed styling work.
• Ability to tolerate prolonged exposure to hair care products, disinfectants, aerosols, and fragrances while using appropriate protective equipment when necessary.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of guest service and attention to detail.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
