
The Hair and Makeup Shop Supervisor provides leadership of The Juilliard School Hair and Makeup Shop. This position works in collaboration with production costume and wig designers and is responsible for supervising and facilitating the hair, wig and makeup requirements of The Julliard School Productions. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced knowledge and skill in wig building, wig and hair styling, and theatrical makeup. The role requires strong organizational and collaborative skills, and the ability to deal diplomatically with a wide variety of people.
The salary for this role is $87,000 - $95,000 per year.

Role Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
Follow all Human Resource policies for onboarding and management of digital information.
Apprentices:
Report regularly on apprentice progress with Director of Apprentice Program.
Budgets Management:
Keep an overview of shop total operating budgets, including maintenance, inventory, and safety purchases.
Meetings:
Schedule weekly/monthly Hair and Makeup Shop staff meetings to review shop schedule and production updates.
Production Duties:
Create maintenance schedule for wig washing, styling, resets, and strike.
Shop and Inventory management, maintenance, and safety:
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times in a fast paced, high intensity environment
