Job Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Gynecologic Oncology and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidate must be BC/BE in Ob/Gyn and Gynecologic Oncology and subspecialty trained in Gynecologic Oncology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and supervising medical students, Ob/Gyn residents and Gynecologic Oncology fellows, and participation in formal curriculum.

Clinical responsibilities may include out-patient consultations for women with gynecologic cancers as well as in-patient consultation and operative care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Hospital, Chester County Hospital and Penn Medicine satellite practice sites.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include basic, translational, clinical and/or health policy research. Collaborative science is highly valued. Expertise in advanced observational study methods including coding and analyses of large databases. A strong advocate of multinational collaborations is a bonus.

Candidate will join a group of 10 physicians and physician scientists who provide clinical services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Hospital and Chester County Hospital. The Division has an ACGME-accredited Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology with six fellows (2/year) and participates in the Division participates in the NRG cooperative group trials and a very active Section of Population Science research.
