About the Centre
Boroondara Sports Complex is a large, community-focused facility that offers something for everyone. The centre features three outdoor pools, including a heated 50 metre lap pool, a shaded program pool, and a dive pool with a five metre dive tower plus one and three metre springboards.
The centre also includes a dedicated gymnastics space, a fully equipped health club with a major equipment upgrade scheduled for April 2026, multiple group fitness rooms, and a five-court stadium supporting a wide range of sports and programs.
Conveniently located within walking distance of public transport, the centre has on-site childcare and a café, both available to staff at a discounted rate. All staff at The Y receive complimentary full membership to any YMCA within Victoria.
About the role
As Program Coordinator, the main focus is to lead the gymnastics program, with over 50 staff, and comprises of 800+ students. This role has a strong focus on participant retention, engagement, and sales growth to ensure a successful and thriving program.

This role entails managing and inspiring teams, setting clear goals, and ensuring programs are delivered to high standards, in line with policies and procedures. As part of the leadership team, you’ll shape the direction of programs, collaborate, assess participant feedback, and deliver on increasing participation across the centre.
Depending on the experience, both position descriptions are attached based on the salary range offered to the chosen candidate.
This is a full-time position with a salary between $68,082-$81,462 per annum + Super & Y Benefits, depending on experience.
