Gymnastics Coach Opportunities | East Gymnastics, Edgecliff

Join our team and inspire the next generation of gymnasts. We have two coaching positions available and welcome applications from coaches with beginner, intermediate, or advanced coaching accreditations.

About You

You are passionate about gymnastics and enjoy inspiring children and young people to reach their full potential. You can:

  • Develop and deliver engaging gymnastics programs for children and young adults across a range of skill levels.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of all participants during classes and activities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages skill development, confidence, and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with fellow coaches and staff to deliver a high-quality recreation and gymnastics experience at East Gymnastics, Edgecliff.
  • Act as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and respect in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver gymnastics classes for participants across a variety of ages and skill levels.
  • Monitor and assess participant progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
  • Maintain gymnastics equipment and ensure training areas remain safe, clean, and well-presented.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, inclusion, and teamwork within the gym.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of gymnastics programs and services.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in gymnastics coaching and working with children and young people.
  • Gymnastics Coaching Certificate (Beginner to Advanced accreditation welcome). We have two coaching opportunities available and welcome applications from coaches at all experience levels, from those holding beginner coaching accreditations through to advanced and highly experienced coaches.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Current Technical Membership with Gymnastics Australia.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
