Requirements


We are seeking a highly skilled
Data Mapper

to support the migration of
Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance claims data

from legacy systems into
Guidewire ClaimCenter

. The ideal candidate will possess strong P&C insurance domain knowledge, hands-on experience with
Guidewire ClaimCenter data models

, and advanced
SQL expertise

to analyze, map, and validate data during large-scale data migration initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with both business and technical teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness throughout the migration lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities


Data Analysis & Mapping


  • Analyze legacy claims data structures, tables, and relationships to understand source system data.


  • Map legacy system data elements to corresponding
    Guidewire ClaimCenter entities, extensions, and typelists

    .


  • Define transformation logic, default values, and business rules required for accurate data migration.


SQL & Data Validation


  • Develop, optimize, and execute
    SQL queries

    to extract, transform, and validate data from legacy systems.


  • Perform data profiling, reconciliation, and validation to ensure migrated data meets business and technical requirements.


  • Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and anomalies, and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.


Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement


  • Work closely with
    claims business users, data architects, ETL developers, and Guidewire technical teams

    .


  • Participate in design discussions, walkthroughs, and data validation sessions with business stakeholders.


  • Support testing phases including
    unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

    .


Documentation & Governance


  • Create and maintain detailed
    data mapping documents

    , transformation specifications, and validation rules.


  • Document data issues, resolutions, and assumptions for auditability and knowledge transfer.


  • Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and best practices during migration.


Required Qualifications


Technical Skills


  • Strong proficiency in
    SQL

    (complex joins, subqueries, performance tuning).


  • Hands-on experience with
    data mapping and ETL processes

    for large datasets.


  • Solid understanding of
    Guidewire ClaimCenter data model

    , including core entities and extensions.


  • Experience working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar).


Domain Expertise


  • Proven experience in
    Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance

    , specifically
    claims data

    .


  • Strong understanding of claims lifecycle, coverages, exposures, reserves, payments, recoveries, and loss details.


Professional Experience


  • 5+ years of experience in data migration, data mapping, or data analysis roles (Guidewire preferred).


  • Prior experience supporting
    Guidewire ClaimCenter implementations or upgrades

    is highly desirable.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with Guidewire data migration tools or frameworks.


  • Familiarity with
    ETL tools

    (Informatica, Talend, DataStage, or similar).


  • Experience working in
    Agile/Scrum

    environments.


  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
