Dayspring Academy

Guest Teacher

Dayspring Academy is accepting applications for qualified guest teachers for K-12. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who desire to teach and nurture our Dayspring learners!

Position: Part-time (called in as needed)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Arrive at the designated times.
• Must be available with a day's notice. At times you may be called at 7 AM to work that day.
• Follow the lesson plans left by the teacher in accordance with the school’s philosophy, goals, and objectives.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Establish and maintain order in the classroom.
• Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to effective learning.
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect learners, materials, equipment, and facilities
• Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and School policies.
• Cooperate with school personnel.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relations with other employees.
• Report to the principal or his/her designee at the beginning and end of the school day.
• Other responsibilities as directed by the teacher and principal.

Requirements

• All employees must be fingerprinted and pass a background screening process by the District School Board of Pasco County, per Florida statute 1012.465 and 1012.56.
• Associates Degree
• Must have prior working experience.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Experience working or volunteering with children.

Higher compensation for retired teachers.
