Job Description

To perform, in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner, a combination of duties mainly related to, but not limited to, answering telephones, greeting, assisting, and checking families in and out of Tri Delta Place, Parcels, or Memphis International Airport; giving recommendations; and providing directions, which contributes to an overall positive experience. Smile and greet guests warmly as the first point of contact. Assist Security in controlling access by signing in and out visitors, volunteers, and vendors at Tri Delta Place.

Schedule: 10:30 pm - 7 am

Spanish Speaking preferred

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and support to all guests within the assigned area.
  • Maintain overall quality and cleanliness of assigned area.
  • Provide assistance and support within assigned area (e.g., house management, volunteer department, front desk department, guest services requests).
  • Monitor supplies and inventory within the area as assigned, and take necessary action.
  • Document and share reports for own area as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.


Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Minimum Experience:

  • One year of applicable experience in a service-oriented, customer-focused environment, preferred.

  • Seeks to understand patient and family needs and requirements of institutional teams by asking clarifying questions. Addresses routine patient/stakeholder requests effectively and seeks guidance as needed to quickly resolve more complex issues.
  • Knowledge of guest services concepts and institutional processes (e.g., housing, financial assistance, transportation). Ability to anticipate, prioritize, and address competing guest and stakeholder needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Exhibits basic grasp of guest services concepts, processes, and guidelines related to own area. Carries out standard tasks within own area (e.g., house management, volunteer/ event department, volunteer department, front desk department, guest services requests, patient services requests) on time, under supervision.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $19.00 - $30.00 per hour for the role of Guest Services Representative (3rd shift).
