Job Description
The Guest Experience Pastor ensures an exceptional, seamless, and consistent experience for every guest—from street to seat. The Guest Experience Pastor leads all aspects of the weekend guest experience, oversees volunteer teams, executes campus events, and helps support the campus with pastoral care needs.
Essential Job Functions
Volunteer Management
- Model and communicate what it means to “Create the Plus” (We go above and beyond to proactively exceed the expectations of our guests.)
- Volunteer Leadership: recruit, onboard, schedule, train, develop, and pastor volunteers and service leads for guest experience.
- Consistently meet with volunteers on their spiritual health and growth, leadership, and overall engagement in CCV
- Ensure volunteers have the necessary supplies for their shift
- Schedule volunteers to execute weekend experiences, event set up and tear down, and campus care.
- Utilize the Serve Toolbox within ROCK to properly schedule, train and communicate essential information, development and training
Weekend & Event Execution
- Plan for and execute the weekend experience, aligning both the physical environments and the volunteers to create a “WOW” experience from street to seat
- Ensure excellence in all physical environments—interior, exterior, signage, seating- by inspecting and providing general facility maintenance and cleaning.
- Execute and maintain structured cleaning plans including event pass-through, post-event cleaning, and deep cleaning rhythms.
- Trash management and removal for services and special events. Maintain the appearance of the area and its cleanliness.
- Set up for all events and weekend experiences- inspect rooms and buildings prior to events and make sure all needs are met including temperature settings, doors and access, room configurations, and last-minute needs and details.
- Partner with campus teams to execute events with excellence including Adult Ministry events, Next Gen events, and Next Steps experiences.
Guest Experience Management
- Input weekly attendance from all services
- Track ministry goals & objectives for the year
- Track ministry volunteer engagement and encourage Next Steps for all team members
Pastoral Care
- Provide Pastoral care to the people as needed. This includes, but is not limited to weddings, funerals, baptisms, hospital/hospice calls, and family dedications.
- Leverage the ministry resources to support members of your area of ministry
- While most of the time you will be caring primarily for the people in your area of responsibility, it is understood that Pastoral Care is to be a “team effort” and therefore you may be asked to help people in other areas as needed.

Education & Experience
- Experience successfully managing/leading a team
- Experience leading others to Christ
- Able to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays & Sundays
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Degree in Biblical Studies is helpful
- Experience working in Ministry is preferred but not required
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience is preferred but not required
