Salary Range: $11.00Are you passionate about creating memorable experiences? Join our Guest Services Crew at Big Dam Water Park, an exciting and family-friendly destination that brings fun and relaxation to our guests.
As a member of the Guest Services Crew, you may be assigned and responsible for one of several key areas of water park operations which includes but not limited to:  ticket window, bag check, gate access, retail and/or food & beverage point of sale stations, in-park guest services, birthday host, cabana host & water-slide dispatching (only in emergencies). Crew members are responsible for providing a positive first impression with each guest when they arrive. All crew members must remain knowledgeable on ticket prices, current specials, upcoming events, monetary safeguards, and utilize this information to up-sell or encourage guests to visit again.
Job Duties
- Maintain a polite and friendly demeanor while working and greeting each guest with a smile.
- Offer guests the best value possible and inform guests of special upcoming events.
- Count and verify starting cash and assure that enough change is on hand throughout the day.
- Count and verify monies at the start and end of shift while adhering to all monetary procedures with accuracy.
- Know and respond to questions regarding product and pricing.
- Inspect guests bags and/or coolers at the gate and ensure belongings comply with park policies
- Accept and verify tickets at the point of entry to the park.
- Take retail and/or food & beverage orders at assigned point of sale stations
- Engage birthday party and/or cabana rental guests and ensure their experience is meeting expectation
- Resolve customer complaints by using good, sound judgement or by requesting assistance from the department leaders as needed.
- Keep work area clean and free from all food, beverages, merchandise, spills, and trash.
- Always maintain a close proximity to cash register and avoid all forms of possible theft.
- Those 16 years of age & older will be cross-trained as a water-slide dispatcher to support that water park in the event of a staffing emergency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Problem Solving Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information efficiently; and develop alternative solutions when needed.
- Mathematic Ability Utilize basic arithmetic (Add, Subtract, Divide, and Multiply)
- Technical Skills Properly handle a cash register and its functions after training.
- Communication Greet each and every guest in a warm and inviting manor; complete all supporting documentation in a clear and concise fashion; and able to read and interpret information quickly.
- Planning/ Organizing Keep assigned work area clean and organized at all times; file appropriate documentation and be able to furnish information on request; fill downtime with appropriate tasks; and work in an efficient manor.
- Quality Control Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; look for ways to improve and promote quality; and be able to monitor own work for quality assurance.
- Dependability Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; completes tasks on time; consistently on time for scheduled shift; and ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.

QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For
- Must be 15 years of age or older
- Ability to reach, sit, bend & walk for long-periods of time while able to move around the work environment.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors in various weather & temperature conditions.
- Friendly, responsible, and attentive demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented with a high focus on ethical discretion involving financial standards
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
