Job Description

The Guest Services Attendant plays a vital role in creating the ultimate guest experience at Relax Away, ensuring guests are aware of the products and services offered and assist with the operation of the products. The Guest Services Attendant can be assigned in areas such as the beach, rental, or information booths.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Guest Services Attendant is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Operation and Team Management

  • Greet and assist guest (with rental equipment, beach setup umbrellas/chairs, or rental aquatic equipment)
  • Assist with setup and break down of equipment, beach toys and gears
  • Report on the inventory of beach toys available for guests at the end of each ship day.
  • Provide guest with the proper instructions on the use of all beach equipment/ toys inclusive of all safety measures and instructions.
  • Ensure all guests wear a life vest, are reminded of rental time limits, and are advised of safe zones on the water.
  • Guide guest in the water and out of the water using launch lanes.
  • Wash and sanitize all beach toys/equipment at the end of each day.
  • Assist with the clean-up of beaches
  • Provide a damage and repair report for beach toys and equipment at the end of each day.
  • Any other duties assigned by Management.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and reservation software.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with employees and guests.
  • Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers and co-workers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be physically fit.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and think critically.
  • Previous work experience preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
