Pay: $17.00/hr
Job Type: Part-time, 15-28 hours.
Shift and Schedule: schedule varies by location - Hyland Sports Center and Fitness Center; ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Know and represent Hyland Hills Park & Recreation District and Core Values
Delivers a high level of customer service to guests with a positive attitude using courteous, patient and assertive language.
Ability to execute proper cash handling procedures and register guests for activities, rentals, and reservations over the phone and assist with online registration as needed.
Proper utilization of RecTrac, which involves processing payments for POS and memberships, processing rentals/reservations, and processing activity registrations.
Responds to emergency situations relating to incidents and accidents at facilities when needed.
Properly complete incident report documentation and follow proper procedures to notify management of medical and behavioral incidents.
Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of the facilities through completion of daily cleaning logs, which includes front desk, entry areas, lobby, fitness equipment, and multi-purpose rooms.
Willingness to work at both facilities (Hyland Hills Fitness Center and Hyland Hills Sports Center)
May serve as a manager on duty when supervisors are not available during evenings, weekends and holidays, which includes making sound decisions and working independently.
Performs facility walkthroughs, including set up and tear down of multi-purpose room equipment, gymnasium equipment and fitness equipment.
Assists recreation coordinators with program tasks and operational support.
Performs other duties as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of POS systems (such as RecTrac or similar platforms) with the ability to efficiently operate and troubleshoot them as needed.
Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures and the ability to perform accurate financial transactions, ensuring accountability and accuracy.
Strong customer service abilities and effective communication skills, and demonstrated leadership capabilities to guide and support team members.
Excellent customer service skills, clear communication abilities, and a proven track record of leadership and team management.
Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to demonstrate reliability and punctuality, ensuring timely arrival and readiness to perform duties for all scheduled shifts.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, maintaining focus and energy throughout the duration of shifts.
Ability to obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire.
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
Work is performed in an indoor environment, with various physical tasks throughout the day.
May occasionally require lifting supplies or gym equipment weighing up to 50 lbs or more during daily duties.
Education/
Experience:
Basic computer education, with the ability to quickly learn and operate software systems related to daily tasks.
Prior customer service experience highly desired but not required.
CPR, AED, and First Aid certified or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Hyland Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District, established in 1955, has the honor of being the first park and recreation district in the State of Colorado. The Hyland Hills Foundation has given thousands of dollars in scholarships to children living in the District to ensure that no child will be unable to participate in District activities due to financial constraints.
