Reporting to the WRTW Retail Merchandising Manager, the WRTW Retail Senior Merchandiser will be responsible for organizing the buying process of master orders and for monitoring the business, optimizing the balance between assortment and stock, and maximizing sales growth across regions/channels.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Elaborating and consolidating inputs coming from regions/channels on business trends
  • Stimulating and structuring the exchange of information from regional teams in terms of product needs and competitors' offers through constant follow-up and market visits
  • Performing buying preparation analysis in terms of efficiency, avg price, sku target by function, store ranking
  • Coordinating with Collection Merchandising in elaborating key seasonal messages and styles to be present in the core selection
  • Coordinating master order activities and key assortments by region/channel to ensure a balanced global product mix, with proper segmentation in terms of complexity, pricing, deliveries, ADV
  • Defining Master Order quantities distribution by region/channel
  • Defining the OTB with the Planning team and break it down by channel plan
  • Coordinating the buying process by region in order to properly prepare the final review process
  • Aligning post-buying with Collection Merchandising to share key investments and overall buying structure, in order to optimize the information sharing with the Visual Merchandising team
  • Defining central bulk orders
  • Efficiently managing the inventory in order to optimize stock levels across region/channels/flagship doors and maximize sales
  • Efficiently managing, on a weekly basis, allocations from central bulk to regions
  • Monitoring monthly supply and slow movers
  • Analyzing selling trends and highlighting actions to regions/channels on reorders and cancellations
  • Running data analysis daily
  • Maximizing sales and results by region/channel through permanent collaborations with the regional buyers in order to better understand each market and identify business opportunities
  • Coordinating with the Global Merchandising team on product feedback and market needs
  • Generating possible inputs in terms of Visual Merchandising and relocation of merchandise to be shared with both Collection Merchandising and the Merchandising Manager
  • Becoming a reference point for the assigned category/market for regional merchandising teams
  • Assuring a proper translation of HQ key messages into regional structures

Key Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a merchandiser in the fashion/luxury goods industry
  • Educational background preferably in business management or similar
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong product sensitivity and passion for the WRTW category
  • Sound analytical and numerical capabilities
  • Commercial awareness and strong business acumen
  • Very strong communicative skills to liaise with different departments that have different communicative needs
  • Very flexible mindset and adaptive personality
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ambition to exceed corporate goals and go the extra mile in daily work
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand current market and consumer trends
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills

Salary Package

  • Gross Annual Salary: 45.000€ (unless otherwise agreed, in the event of a positive outcome of the selection process, should specific levels of experience and autonomy and/or particular competencies emerge during the selection process, based on objective criteria).
  • NCBA (National Collective Bargaining Agreement): CCNL Industria Pelli e Succedanei (unique alphanumeric code: D111)
