Reporting to the Handbags Merchandising Director the Handbags Collection merchandiser will support in overseeing the category business by developing the collections to fully address market opportunities while maintaining coherence in the brand image and standards of excellence.

Key Accountabilities

  • Define collection’s structure, analyze selling trends and highlights actions for GRID purposes and evaluate possible style openings to be discussed with Design team.
  • Monitor competition and consolidate inputs coming from regions on business trends.
  • Contribute to master order activities and key assortments by Retail to ensure balanced global product mix.
  • Coordinate the advancements of the collection with the product development office on a constant basis.
  • Manage the preparation of the selling campaign (preparation of collection book, launch plan, collection presentation, product availability etc.)
  • Elaborate a coherent pricing and margin strategy within each collection.
  • Manage the daily running of the business such as: code creation process, product shootings, special orders follow up, etc.
  • Create and constantly update a reliable basis of all product information to be shared with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal departments on the presentation of the collection to the customer (support on elaboration of Visual Merchandising Guidelines, development of special packaging, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the Training department in the elaboration of Product Training material.
  • Define markdown list and life cycle products.
  • Take ownership of the samples management for the merchandising department.

Key Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as merchandiser in the fashion/luxury goods industry
  • Educational background preferably in business management or similar
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong product sensitivity and passion for Handbags
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ambition to exceed corporate goals and go the extra mile in daily work
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills

Salary Package

  • Gross Annual Salary 38.700€ (unless otherwise agreed, in the event of a positive outcome of the selection process, should specific levels of experience and autonomy and/or particular competencies emerge during the selection process, based on objective criteria).
