Valiant is looking for a skilled Guard I to join our team!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Controlling all access to the building.
• Will confirm security status of all individuals who enter the building and issue the required badge.
• Update and maintain an accurate security clearance lists when provided by the appropriate authorities.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a confident demeanor at all times while dealing with high volumes of customer through puts / traffic, daily conflict scheduling resolution.
• Ability to maintain extreme professionalism and positive customer service skills interfacing with the Government customer, to include Senior Military Leadership as well as industry partners.
• Will be responsible for the cleanliness of the guard station.
• Answering the telephone and responding to requests
• Compile simulator schedule data Maintain access logbooks
• Responsible to report any irregularities or problems to the Site Manager for resolution.
• The access control guard will perform other tasks as assigned by the Site Manager or his designated representative
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: The rate for this position is $21.60/hr. However, Valiant considers several factors, including but not limited to, market data, business considerations, internal equity, the role and responsibilities of the position, a candidate’s work experience, education, and training, when extending an offer.

Benefits: This position includes a competitive benefits package. The provision of benefits are outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Active Secret Clearance.

• Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English.
• Must present a professional appearance in dress and demeanor at all times.
• Must be able to work well with all levels of Military and Civilian personnel.
• Must be computer literate and be able to use and access basic computer programs (Microsoft products, Excel, PDF, etc.)
• Possess the ability to secure a US Passport.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent certificate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb two (2) stairs is required.
