Job Description

Join our team as a Guard House Attendant and be the welcoming face of King’s Grant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the safety and positive first impression of our community by providing friendly and professional service to visitors and residents alike.

Key Responsibilities:

· Follow strict access control processes for King’s Gant - screening for all entering the King’s Grant campus.

· Provide concise and accurate directions to visitors, emergency responders and other guests

· Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrance and exit

· Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards

· Communicate any concerns, questions with your direct Supervisor when they arise. Report all incidents, concerns or activities as soon as possible.

· Aid residents, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service

· Give quality service and make continuous efforts to improve; consider accuracy and appearance of work, learn from mistakes and understand the role in customer satisfaction

· Understand and respond to resident/customer needs; give complete and timely responses and always be respectful and courteous while following through with communication efforts

· Show initiative and drive within the scope of the job responsibilities. Show initiative without needing direction, but ask for clarification, correct errors and request assistance in a timely manner, handle unexpected situations calmly and efficiently to minimize problems.

· Be dependable, reliable and punctual with attendance; plan appropriately for absences when possible.

· Demonstrate a commitment to safety by following safety rules and guidelines; follow good housekeeping practices, take proper care of equipment and perform job duties and responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner.

· Have good listening skills and the ability to process information accurately, make appropriate decisions and take appropriate action based on the information made available to you

· Ability to work with confidential information and maintain its’ integrity

· Reports unsafe working conditions or equipment to supervisor.

· Flag handling – if/when flag should be lowered to half-staff, the Guard is responsible.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Strong customer service orientation

- Ability to remain professional and courteous in all interactions

- Dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail

- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively

- Prior experience in security or customer service is preferred

- Current Driver's License & meets driver eligibility requirements per Sunnyside policy
