As a Guarantees Specialist within our Structured Finance & Treasury team, you will play a key role in supporting DEME’s international projects through the end-to-end management of both outgoing bank and insurance guarantees and incoming financial securities.

You will be part of a specialized team handling a broad range of guarantee-related matters linked to tenders, advance payments, customs, rental agreements,... At the same time, you will ensure that incoming guarantees and securities are properly registered, followed up, and available when needed.

Your responsibilities

  • You are co-responsible for the request, follow-up and processing of outgoing bank and insurance guarantees from start to finish.

  • You support guarantees linked to a wide variety of business needs, such as tender guarantees, advance payment guarantees, customs import guarantees, rental guarantees,...

  • You follow the internal guarantees flow: from the request in the system and validation by the business, up to the coordination and wording alignment with the relevant guarantee provider (bank or insurance company).

  • You act as a co-contact person for banks and insurance companies regarding guarantee-related matters and maintain professional relationships with a broad network of external partners.

  • You ensure incoming guarantees are reviewed, recorded and available in line with internal policies and contractual requirements.

  • You perform the necessary administrative follow-up for all guarantee files.

  • You contribute to standard reporting activities.

  • You work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders across DEME’s business and support functions, ensuring smooth communication and timely follow-up.

Your profile

  • You have relevant experience in guarantees, for example within a bank, insurer, treasury team.

  • You have a strong understanding of the operational and administrative flow of bank and insurance guarantees.

  • You communicate confidently and professionally with stakeholders at different levels, both internally and externally.

  • You are highly accurate, detail-oriented, and you understand the importance of getting it right.

  • You are well-organized and able to manage a broad variety of files simultaneously, with attention to priorities.

  • You are stress-resistant and perform well under time pressure, especially when working towards critical project deadlines.

  • You have strong stakeholder management skills and know how to follow up assertively when needed.

  • You are proactive, reliable, and motivated to take ownership within a specialized domain.

  • You have a good command of English.
