Job Description

A leading semi-state energy organisation is seeking a SCADA Integration Engineer to support the integration of new renewable assets into their Remote Operations Centre in Dublin 2. The role sits within the Renewable Operations team, which is responsible for the operation and maintenance of a growing portfolio of onshore wind, solar, OCGT and distributed generation assets.

This 12-month position will work closely with project delivery teams, OEM SCADA providers and site engineers to deliver the integration of Asset Operating Systems (SCADA/HMI) across new and existing generation sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage the integration of OEM HMI into the Remote Operations Centre
• Act as the interface between the project delivery team and OEM SCADA provider, managing meetings and ensuring project deadlines are met
• Define points lists and manage commissioning and integration into the second tier SCADA system
• Commission RTU/PLC to control and manage Electrical Balance of Plant at substation
• Work with OEM SCADA providers to interface with secure network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with cyber security standards
• Manage integration of CCTV systems on site
• Manage commissioning and integration of site meters into the second tier SCADA system
• Troubleshoot communications issues on new and existing sites
• Complete and maintain as-built drawings for new and existing sites
• Contribute to the design of SCADA and telecoms solutions for new onshore wind and distributed generation assets
• Contribute to maintenance policy for the SCADA system and key communications equipment
• Contribute to the design of Operation Control requirements (SCADA, telecoms, cyber systems) for future offshore wind remote operations

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years' postgraduate experience
• Excellent technical and analytical ability with capability to develop large scale data systems and tools
• Strong knowledge and experience of communications and SCADA IT systems
• Track record in delivering SCADA integration projects, including project management experience
• Third level qualification in engineering, business or equivalent

Desirable

• Experience, knowledge and competence in operations and maintenance of renewable or power plant assets
• Knowledge of generation asset control systems and renewable or power plant technologies, systems and procedures

• Anticipated start July 2026
• 12-month contract duration
• Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 16:45
