The GSE Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and hands-on support to Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance personnel during assigned shifts. Reporting to the Manager – GSE Maintenance. This role ensures that maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

The Supervisor oversees daily workflow, monitors equipment condition, enforces safety practices, and supports both administrative and operational functions to maintain a reliable and safe GSE fleet.

Job Duties:
Supervise GSE maintenance staff to ensure operational, performance, and safety objectives are met.
Monitor and enforce safe working habits in compliance with Unifi, EPA, OSHA regulatory standards.
Perform preventive and routine maintenance on GSE as needed to support mechanics and maintain operational readiness.
Ensure all GSE is maintained in proper, safe working conditions and immediately address unsafe or out-of-service equipment.
Assist with administrative responsibilities including payroll, employee discipline, documentation, and shift reporting.
Prepare and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage.
Review operational and maintenance reports and input data into the maintenance tracking system.
Provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training to maintenance personnel.
Support communication between shifts and leadership to ensure continuity of operations.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Three (3) to Five (5) years prior supervisory experience preferred.
Prior GSE maintenance experience required.
ASE certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of heavy-duty diesel/automotive equipment, electrical and hydraulic systems, and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, maintenance manuals, and safety procedures.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Must be 18 years of age, legally authorized to work in the U.S., and able to pass required background checks and drug screening.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and CMMS system.

Working Conditions:
Must be able to work various hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Subject to on-call responsibilities and occasional travel.
Work performed in both indoor operations offices and outdoor ramp environments.
Exposure to weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, and cold.
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, aircraft, vehicles, fumes, and loud noise.
Work pace varies and is often fast paced with tight time constraints.
