Job Description

The Global Lean Leader of the Repair Value Stream executes Lean initiatives across the GSC Repairs Value Stream Plants, and is responsible for working with the GSC Business Operations Leader (GSC BOPS), the Repairs Value Stream Leader and the respective Plant Leadership Team members, to establish and execute a Lean Roadmap, considering our Hoshin Kanri strategic objectives, KPI's and TTI's to deliver SQDC from each of our Repairs Plants consistently.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • This is a leadership position, covering multiple sites as part of the Global Supply Chain Repairs Value Stream within Gas Power, reporting to the GSC Business Operations (BOPS) Leader and dotted line to the GSC Repairs Value Stream Leader.
    As the Repairs VS Lean Leader, you will be responsible for leading the effort within Repair plants to create and execute the Value Stream Lean Roadmap to achieve the corresponding KPI's and TTI's from our Hoshin Kanri while securing our SQDC priorities through the planning and execution of Kaizen events, MOR's reviews and Daily Management. The Leader will utilize consistent application of Lean Tools for each assigned site that meets or exceeds the expected goals, utilizing the VSM approach to work with the Site Managers and Lean Leaders
  • Assist in revitalizing a common GSC Lean System that incorporates best practices within the business. Assist with updating the assessment and training materials as needed
  • Use VSM (Value Stream Map) to focus and drive improvement, both internal to manufacturing and external to the plant
  • Execute Read Across Processes as part of Lessons Learned and Best Practices sharing within the value stream plants.
  • Lead and mentor leaders by holding Transformation Events that target sections of the processes or entire processes as defined in the VSM’s
  • Establish a formal cadence with sites / Lean Leaders for coaching, improvement plans, Lean Roadmap tracking, as well as development and execution of Kaizens.
  • Establish functional integration to aid in lead time and inventory reductions within the Value Stream, to include: materials, sourcing, engineering, new product integration and commercial as required.
  • Assist with maintaining a Lean Leader at each site and develop a skills matrix with training plan to meet the skills expectation for each Lean Leader, starting with skills that impact velocity.
  • Responsible for the maturity of the Lean Operation Method of the Value Stream
  • Responsible of the execution and action plan follow up from the SGRA's on each Plant (Site Growth Readiness Assessment)
  • Lead and executes the activities to secure the Sustainable Productivity HK objectives.
  • Responsible of planning and execution of Shingijutsu events.
  • Responsible of planning and execution of CEO, Earth, S&Q Kaizen Weeks and Hoshin Week.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Manufacturing & Lean Manufacturing. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in deployment of Lean in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of implementing significant improvement in lead time, cost, and inventory turns year-over year while securing Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost targets.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading Lean deployment for multiple sites.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $144,000.00 and $240,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
