Job Purpose

Security Personnel are responsible for maintaining the safety and security of multiple company facilities, personnel, equipment, and property during assigned evening and overnight hours. This role monitors surveillance systems, controls facility access, interacts with drivers and visitors at entry points, and escalates security, safety, or emergency issues to internal leadership or external emergency services as required.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide security coverage during assigned evening and overnight shifts (approximately 1700 PDT and 0600 PDT.)
• Monitor surveillance systems to detect unauthorized activity, safety risks, or incidents.
• Control, verify, and document access at facility gates, including interaction with drivers and visitors.
• Review SWS or other access systems to ensure individuals have valid authorization to enter
• Respond promptly to alarms, suspicious activity, and safety concerns
• Communicate with the alarm monitoring company to verify whether detected activities are valid security events.
• Escalate incidents and operational concerns to Pacific Region staff per established protocols.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire department, or emergency responders when necessary.
• Maintain accurate incident logs, access records, and shift activity reports.
• Follow all company security, safety, and emergency response procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Other Job Functions

• Assist with investigations by providing reports or video footage when requested.
• Participate in required safety and security training.
• Support emergency response efforts as directed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Transportation, Supply Chain Management or any related field
• At least 2 years of experience in Sea Logistics or a similar industry.
• Ability to monitor multiple video screens and maintain situational awareness for extended periods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with drivers, staff, and responders.
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in emergency situations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete written reports.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow security protocols.
