Job Description
Own one of our highest-leverage growth pillars — at exactly the moment it gets interesting.
You'll inherit an established product with two years of steady, compounding growth behind it, dual-sided growth loops where doctor supply and patient demand reinforce each other, and new patient-facing surfaces launching this year that turn a one-off transaction into a recurring relationship. You won't start from a blank page: you'll take over a documented, working growth system — growth model, loop maps and sizing, a scored and sequenced experiment backlog, and AI tooling built for the job.
It's a rare contract: full pillar ownership, a running growth engine, and a launch window most PMs wait years for. A step up, not a holding pattern.
This is a 12 month fixed-term parental leave cover — you'll hold the Growth PM seat in one of our mission-based teams while its owner is on leave: keep the experiments shipping, bring the next loops to life, and hand the pillar back in better shape than you found it.
At HotDoc, we're improving the way patients and doctors communicate — building products that have a real impact on patient health outcomes. This pillar covers the products that help patients manage their ongoing care — repeat prescriptions, referrals and the routine follow-ups between appointments — and that keep them coming back to their own GP.
What you'll do
-
Own the growth pillar end-to-end — the funnel, the loops, the metrics and the experiment roadmap, with full autonomy on experiment ship/kill/extend decisions.
-
Run a steady, high-quality experiment cadence with your embedded Growth Engineer — from scored backlog through experiment design, test, readout and rollout — targeting the biggest bottleneck, not the most visible one.
-
Bring the early-stage growth loops to life between the new patient surfaces launching this year and our established request product — loops designed to drive both patient activation and doctor activation. They're already sized and sequenced in the backlog you inherit; you'll refine that sizing, run the validation experiments that decide which loops we build out, and expand and evolve them as the new surfaces mature.
-
Own growth accounting for the pillar — monitor the north star and driver metrics, explain movements with cohort and segment analysis, and ensure growth is accurately measured, analysed and communicated.
-
Lead across product and GTM — keep your product squad and the go-to-market teams aligned on where the leverage is, and keep delivery moving when priorities shift or trade-offs arise mid-cycle.
-
Work AI-first — our growth workflow runs on AI tooling for experiment scoring, sizing and drafting. You'll use it, improve it and extend it — and critically evaluate its output rather than take it on trust.
What you'll bring
- 2–4+ years in growth product management, growth marketing or a closely related role, with demonstrated ownership of a growth area and measurable improvement across multiple experiment cycles.
- Strong experimentation craft — design, sizing, QA and measurement — applied consistently at pace.
- Solid data skills: cohort analysis, segmentation and metric definition in a production analytics environment.
- Fluency in growth accounting — north star and driver metrics, guardrails and cadence.
- A working understanding of growth loops and dual-sided marketplace dynamics — where supply and demand reinforce each other.
- The ability to ramp fast and own outcomes from early in the contract — you're comfortable inheriting a running system, keeping what works, and still leaving your own mark on it.
- An AI-first way of working — you use AI tools as genuine leverage in how you research, prioritise and ship, can speak to specifics, and verify AI output before it drives decisions.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience implementing growth loops in production, or operating in a dual-sided marketplace.
- B2C healthcare, or another regulated/sensitive consumer domain where trust, consent and safety are first-class design constraints.
- Experience navigating B2C/B2B tensions in prioritisation and product development.
- A track record of improving experimentation infrastructure, documentation or rollout discipline within a team.
- Familiarity with tools like GrowthBook, Amplitude, Mixpanel or Metabase in a production context.
