Salary Range: $65,974.00 - $82,467.00 Salary/year
Travel Percentage: Up to 50%
Job Shift: AnyKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for supporting the delivery of strategies and related tactics to build relationship programs that engage the University Community.
- - Uses knowledge gained through relationship development to increase penetration within designated University Partners and SEGs (B2B relationships).
- - Proactively executes the strategies to solidify, nurture and grow UCU’s relationship with designated University Partners and SEGs.
- - Develops, maintains and leverages contact lists for current and new University Partners or members in the Credit Union’s field of membership.
- - Attends various meetings in the University Community and at SEGs to raise the profile of UCU, develop new business prospects and promote the credit union.
- - Understands all Contractual Obligations and be knowledgeable of our University Partners and SEGs.
- - Act to deepen relationships with our University Partners and SEGs and grow our impact.
- - By listening to our member’s needs, support the development of unique or creative programs to enhance our relationships with University Partners and SEGs.
- Support the effective identification, planning, and completion of university engagement activities.
- - Contacts and visits prospective and existing University Partners and SEGs to share information on benefits of membership and available products/services, with a focus on the credit union’s core products.
- - Collaborates and supports the creation of programs to solve for university stakeholder financial pain points.
- - Develops and presents educational sessions on financial services to groups to promote credit union products (in-person and virtual).
- - Contacts current and potential member base using follow-up methods via telephone, virtual meeting, Synapsys, site visits, letters, emails, and direct mail campaigns.
- - Works with University Partners and SEGs to coordinate attendance at appropriate events and address related questions (orientation schedules, membership packets, etc.).
- - Identifies and acts upon marketing opportunities with University Partners and SEGs.
- - Maintains an up-to-date contact tracking tool and manages credit union University Partner and SEGs list.
- - Promotes all products and services, achieving individual and department targets as designated by the Chief Growth Officer. Uses consultative sales process and upholds credit union values.
- Responsible for building and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel and with management.
- - Participates and supports Growth Department meetings and activities.
- - Shares successes internally to institutionalize competitive advantage across the university portfolio.
- - Partners closely with branches and other UCU departments to enable and ensure cohesive services and operations for all members and stakeholders.
- - Supports and assists Growth team colleagues and provides back-up support as necessary.
- - Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns.
- - Refers member-owners to internal financial experts when necessary.
- - Must possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to interact independently with all levels of management and non-management as a respected advocate for UCU.
- Responsible for related duties as required or assigned.
- - Completes special projects as assigned (please note that some activities may take place in the evenings or weekends).
- - Stays current with financial and public relations trends.
- - Ensures that work area is clean, secure, professional, and well maintained.
- - Self-driven and motivated.

- - Know our products and how they compare to the competition.
- - Must successfully complete CCUFC within 6 months of starting this role.
QualificationsKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Education/Certification: Associate degree in marketing, sales, or business-related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Additional business development training preferred in a credit union, banking or financial environment where a consultative sale approach is used.
Required Knowledge : Basic knowledge of Credit Union/ financial sector operations.
Understanding of business and media processes.
Experience Required: Minimum of one year of related experience, ideally in a sales environment.
Skills/Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Well organized.
Attentive to detail.
Strong project management abilities.
Able to use related computer applications.
An independent thinker and self-starter.
“Can do” approach to resolving issues and overcoming objections.
