The Growth Marketing Manager leads customer lifecycle initiatives and partnership marketing for Prime Video Japan. This role combines deep customer understanding with strategic partnership execution to drive acquisition, engagement, retention, and cross-sell initiatives. You will work directly with external partners on marketing execution while developing data-driven customer lifecycle programs that address the needs of Japanese customer segments throughout their journey.
Key job responsibilities
Customer Lifecycle Marketing:
• Lead execution of CX research and analysis initiatives — including CX benchmarking, customer journey deep-dives, and walk-the-store evaluations — by translating research plans into action, coordinating with internal stakeholders (e.g., Consumer Insights, BI, Strategy, Product) to gather inputs, synthesize findings, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership
• Own end-to-end execution of CX initiatives, including drafting Experiment Design Documents (EDDs), securing approvals from US and global stakeholders, executing experiments using tools such as Sonata and Weblab, and conducting post-launch reviews to assess performance and iterate
• Dive deep into acquisition, engagement, and retention performance metrics, identifying trends and surfacing actionable insights through weekly business reviews with leadership
Partnership Marketing:
• Develop and execute Prime Video's partnership marketing strategy, prioritizing optimization and growth of existing telco partnerships (Docomo, KDDI)
• Collaborate closely with cross-Amazon teams including Prime BD team to align partnership initiatives with broader organizational objectives and drive integrated customer acquisition strategies
• Design partnership marketing promotions that drive new customer acquisition, awareness, and engagement, negotiating with prioritized third-party partners to launch them
Basic Qualifications
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
- 3+ years of professional experience in Product Marketing or Partnership Marketing
- Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills with passion and aptitude for data-driven decision making
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, economics, business or equivalent
- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance or telco partners
- Background in customer analytics, segmentation, and A/B testing
- Experience in developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs
- Experience working with databases and SQL
