
Wells Fargo is seeking a Marketing Director to lead a team responsible for developing and executing growth marketing strategies focusing on our key Checking products. This work is highly visible and is a key priority of the Consumer Banking and Lending (CBL) business unit. This role will drive strategic alignment across the organization to ensure the development of compelling customer value propositions, differentiated positioning, competitive offers, customer-centric experiences, and integrated marketing tactics that accelerate customer acquisition, deepen engagement, and drive profitable growth.
This leader will play a critical role in shaping how Wells Fargo wins with consumers by translating enterprise and line-of-business priorities into actionable marketing strategies that resonate with customers and deliver measurable business results. Working across product, analytics, digital, channel, risk, legal, compliance, and creative teams, this individual will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, influencing product and offer strategies, and ensuring marketing investments are aligned to areas of greatest customer and business impact.
Success in this role requires a highly strategic, influential, and customer-obsessed leader who can effectively guide a team of marketers while also driving alignment across senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of business acumen, marketing expertise, and executive presence, with a proven ability to develop integrated marketing strategies, inspire creative excellence, and deliver experiences that strengthen customer preference, drive consideration, and convert consumers into long-term Wells Fargo relationships.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, influence, and organizational agility, with a proven track record of aligning stakeholders around a common vision and translating strategy into measurable business outcomes. They will be an enterprise-minded leader who can connect customer needs, business priorities, and marketing execution to drive growth and create competitive advantage. This individual will be known for building and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and leading through both influence and action. While capable of operating at a strategic level with senior executives, they will also bring a hands-on leadership style, willingly rolling up their sleeves to solve problems, challenge assumptions, and help teams deliver against critical priorities. They will possess exceptional communication skills, strong business and customer acumen, and a reputation for integrity, sound judgment, and delivering results in complex, matrixed environments.
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. $185,000.00 - $300,000.00
