Job Description

About the role

Genesis brings together AI research, simulation, and robotics to build general-purpose robots that can work in the real world. Our mission is to unlock unlimited physical labor.

Our ability to grow depends on how well we find exceptional people, hire them, and help them become effective. There are engineering problems throughout that journey: fragmented data, repetitive workflows, disconnected tools, and processes that become slower as the company gets bigger.

You’ll build the software and automations that solve those problems.

Your users will be recruiters, hiring managers, the People team, and employees. You’ll work directly with them, identify the highest-impact opportunities, ship useful tools, and measure what changes. Your work should help us reach stronger candidates, move faster, and give people more time for the decisions and conversations that need them.

What you’ll own

  • Building recruiting tools that improve reach and relevance. Create workflows for talent mapping, research, enrichment, and rediscovery of candidates already in our network. Help recruiters turn scattered information into useful context.
  • Running measurable growth experiments. Partner with Recruiting to test sourcing channels, outreach workflows, referrals, and candidate nurture. Measure qualified conversations and downstream conversion.
  • Connecting our systems. Build integrations across Ashby, our People systems, and collaboration tools using APIs, webhooks, and reliable data pipelines.
  • Automating People workflows. Improve onboarding, employee requests, lifecycle handoffs, and recurring reporting. Build tools that make the right action easy and ownership clear.
  • Making the data usable. Create trusted datasets and dashboards that show where candidates stall, where teams lose time, and whether a change improves the process.
  • Putting AI to practical use. Build and evaluate AI-assisted research, information retrieval, summarization, and workflow support. Make outputs easy to verify and keep people accountable for hiring and employee decisions.
  • Owning what you ship. Take tools from prototype to everyday use, with appropriate testing, monitoring, documentation, and access controls. Stay close to users and keep improving them.

You’ll thrive here if

  • You’ve built and shipped software, internal tools, or growth systems that people actually use.
  • You can code confidently in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript, work with SQL, and integrate APIs.
  • You can turn an ambiguous operational problem into a small, useful first version and iterate from there.
  • You think in experiments: define the problem, establish a baseline, ship a change, and check the result.
  • You’ve built with LLMs and understand how to evaluate output quality and handle failures.
  • You care about adoption and reliability as much as the initial build.
  • You work well with nontechnical teammates and handle candidate and employee data thoughtfully.

Bonus points

  • You’ve worked on recruiting technology, People systems, growth engineering, or revenue operations tooling.
  • You’ve built integrations with Ashby or another ATS, CRM, or HRIS.
  • You’ve worked with public research and developer data, such as papers, citations, or GitHub profiles.
  • You’ve combined custom code with tools such as n8n, Make, or Zapier.
  • You’ve been an early builder at a startup and owned tools from initial idea through ongoing maintenance.

The offer

  • Competitive base salary plus meaningful equity.
  • Visa sponsorship and relocation support.
  • Hybrid: 3–4+ days per week in our office.
  • A broad engineering remit, direct access to your users, and the opportunity to build systems that help Genesis hire and scale.

Genesis is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

Genesis AI

About Genesis AI

Genesis AI is a global full-stack robotics company building general-purpose robots with human-level intelligence and capabilities. Led by a world-class team obsessed with excellence at every level, Genesis AI is pushing the boundaries of robotics and AI to unlock a new era of human productivity.

We are a new generation of robotics builders, united by a shared mission to push the boundaries of physical AI. Our team brings together the minds behind many of the most significant advances in robotics and AI in recent years — spanning the full stack.

We introduced generative simulation, created foundational platforms such as Genesis, Jiminy, Flightmare, GVBD Voxels, and invented the IPC algorithm. We led the development of the first multimodal models at Mistral AI and Apple Intelligence. We co-created UMI and Diffusion Policy, pioneered reinforcement learning frameworks for superhuman drone racing, and scaled robotic data systems at NVIDIA GR00T. We built cross-platform GPU compilers such as VeriGPU, DeepCL, Coriander, and the original PyTorch. We also built industry-leading rendering engines at Google, Epic and Unity. Now, we’ve come together at Genesis AI to close the loop, and build what’s next.
