Growth & Development Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Growth & Development Analyst to join the Heartland Bank Australia team. This role sits within our Strategy & Development function and plays a key role in shaping the bank’s strategic direction through high‑quality research, analysis and insight.

You will be the primary analytical engine for the Strategy & Development function, supporting the Head of Strategy & Development with evidence‑based insights that inform strategic decision‑making, customer understanding and growth initiatives.
Working across strategy, customer insights and product support, you will deliver research, analysis and reporting that underpins executive and Board discussions. This role operates with a broad remit and adapts priorities in line with the evolving needs of the business.
You will always act ethically and with integrity, ensuring your work aligns with Heartland’s values and supports strong outcomes for our customers and the bank.

You are curious, analytical and enjoy turning complex data into clear, decision ready insights. You’re comfortable managing competing priorities, working closely with senior stakeholders, and taking ownership of tasks end‑to‑end. You enjoy learning, asking questions and contributing to meaningful strategic conversations.
Key responsibilities:
Conducting strategic research and analysis, including market scans, competitor analysis and environmental assessments
Synthesising quantitative and qualitative data into concise briefings, reports and presentations for executive and Board audiences
Supporting strategic planning and Board reporting with analytical inputs and data‑driven narratives
Maintaining and reporting on NPS and customer satisfaction metrics
Supporting qualitative customer research and Voice of Customer activities
Providing customer and market insights across retail and agribusiness segments
Delivering analytical support to the Product function as part of a formal tasking arrangement
Supporting business development and growth initiatives through research and analysis
Assisting with thought leadership, CEO keynotes and external engagement materials as required
You’re a pro with:
Research and analytical techniques, both quantitative and qualitative
Turning complex data into clear, structured insights for senior audiences
Producing high‑quality written and visual outputs, including briefing papers and presentations
Strong attention to detail and sound judgement
Managing multiple workstreams while maintaining quality and deadlines
Ideally, you will also bring experience with:
Strategy, insights or analytical roles within financial services or a commercial environment
Customer data, NPS, customer satisfaction or Voice of Customer research
Market and competitor intelligence
Working with product, strategy or growth teams
