Job Description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Grow Team Advisor on a temporary one-year basis in our Ag Solutions team.

This position is a remote opportunity and is based across South Saskatchewan, with 80% travel.

Join an industryleading agronomy team where your expertise shapes how growers succeed. The Grow Team Advisor combines handson agronomy, training leadership, and cuttingedge digital agriculture to support Coops, strengthen regional growth, and deliver real value on the farm.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver high‑quality agronomic training (virtual, in‑person, print, and in‑field) to Grow Team Advisors to strengthen decision‑making, product confidence, and same‑store sales.
  • Partner with commodity managers and Senior Retail Agronomists to align training with portfolio strategy, seasonal priorities, and retail execution, serving as a technical escalation and enablement resource.
  • Provide agronomic expertise and field validation across crop protection, seed, crop nutrition, private brand, and specialty products (e.g., biologicals and fertilizers) to drive adoption and market growth.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives by ensuring accurate agronomic messaging, contributing to campaigns, and acting as an agronomy subject‑matter expert.
  • Enable effective use and adoption of AgZone FIELD by training agronomists on best practices, value creation, and consistent application in agronomic services.
  • Have 6 - 9 years of relevant progressively responsible experience, with a preference for experience in agriculture (out of which 5 years in field Agronomy experience)
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Agriculture. Master of Science degree is preferred. (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Must be a Professional Agrologist and either have or willing to obtain Certified Crop Advisor and 4R certifications

Who you’ll work with:
The Team: You will work closely with Grow Team members, ag retail management, the Crop Supplies team, and local CRS teams, providing training, advice, technical support, and agronomic business guidance. This role serves as a key influencer and subject‑matter expert, exemplifying the agronomic strength of the Grow Team and CRS to farm customers, manufacturers, and industry partners. The GTA operates independently, keeping the Manager of Agronomic Market Development informed of weekly activities and regional agronomy developments. The team culture emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and a strong customer‑first mindset.

Our Agro team helps to feed and grow Western Canadian communities by sourcing and distributing products and services to local Co-ops in the feed, crop supplies and fertilizer business.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Agriculture and

  • Have 6 - 9 years of relevant progressively responsible experience, with a preference for experience in agriculture (out of which 5 years in field Agronomy experience)
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Agriculture. Master of Science degree is preferred. (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Must be a Professional Agrologist and either have or willing to obtain Certified Crop Advisor and 4R certifications
