Job Description
Experts in the art of hospitality, the Grove Hotel and the Block22 Companies create memorable experiences. We are a destination for experiences beyond the ordinary, in the heart of downtown Boise. As a Suite Food Runner, you will play a key role in delivering timely, accurate, and well-presented food service to our suites during Steelheads games, Front Street Fights, concerts, and other live events.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Set up in-suite catering orders before each event, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Carefully read and interpret catering order forms to gather all necessary supplies for setup.
- Deliver and present catering orders with proper garnishing, plating, and attention to detail.
- Assist suite servers by setting up linens, utensils, condiments, and napkins in additional suites.
- Organize, prioritize, and expedite all incoming food orders during events.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and serving staff to correct or prevent order errors.
- Ensure modified food tickets are fulfilled properly and to guest specifications.
- Deliver all game day food orders by tray to the correct suites in a prompt, organized manner.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude with guests and co-workers.
- Complete all cleaning and closing duties after each event.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to learn and retain full knowledge of catering and game day menus.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Must work well within a team-oriented service structure.
- Must be TIPS Certified.
- Must be available to work Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday events.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to carry or move up to 25 lbs.
