Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! You will provide support, from administrative, customer service, for the Groups, Meeting & Events team to develop future and repeat business. As a Groups & Events Coordinator, you’re not just supporting event delivery/sales lead development perspectives – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

  • Client & Event Coordination: Manage group and event enquiries from initial enquiry through to successful event delivery, ensuring every detail is planned to perfection.
  • Event Planning & Administration: Prepare event orders, contracts, function sheets, and other event documentation while maintaining accuracy across all bookings.
  • Customer Experience: Deliver personalised service and create memorable experiences that exceed client expectations at every stage of the event journey.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Kitchen, Food & Beverage, and Events teams to ensure seamless execution of meetings and events.
  • Revenue Optimization: Maximize revenue opportunities through strategic upselling of event packages, catering options, accommodation, and venue services.
  • Sales Conversion: Convert enquiries into confirmed business, proactively securing new and repeat opportunities for the hotel.
  • Financial Coordination: Manage deposits, invoicing, and payment follow-up while ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Systems & Database Management: Maintain accurate client, event, and sales records across hotel systems and platforms.
  • Market & Industry Awareness: Stay informed of market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to support business growth and innovation.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Monitor client feedback, resolve issues professionally, and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and event success.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a hotel sales admin/coordinator role preferred.
  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in customer service, event coordination, or marketing preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel/event management software.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and problem-solving skills.
