Job Description

We are looking for a talented and motivated analytical individual to join the Group Tax team.

As a Group Tax Analyst, you will play a key role in helping the Euroclear Group understand, manage and anticipate its tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions.

Working alongside experienced tax professionals, you will combine technical tax expertise with financial and operational insight to support business initiatives, strategic projects and tax compliance activities.

Your primary focus will be on indirect tax matters, supporting the Group's VAT activities across multiple jurisdictions. While VAT will remain your core area of responsibility, you will also support on Corporate Income Tax, Transfer Pricing and other international tax topics through collaboration with other members of the Group Tax team.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a highly international environment and develop a strong in-house understanding of the interaction between tax, finance and business operations.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Group Tax Analyst, key responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as a key point of support on VAT and other tax matters arising from the Group's activities across Europe and APAC.
  • Assess and quantify the VAT and broader tax implications of new business initiatives, transactions and organisational changes, translating technical tax considerations into practical business recommendations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of VAT processes, controls and systems, including ERP environments.
  • Support tax audits on all taxes and participate in a variety of projects and tax analyses across the Group.
  • Prepare presentations and insights for business stakeholders, helping to increase tax awareness and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with experienced tax professionals and colleagues across different countries, gaining exposure to a broad range of international tax topics.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Group's business model and the interaction between tax and business operations within a leading international financial market infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Law, Economics or a related field, with a supplementary qualification in taxation,
  • 3-5 years of working experience in indirect taxes advisory (VAT)
  • Strong analytical skills and an affinity with financial analysis, accounting concepts and business processes.
  • Interest in working with financial systems and ERP environments.
  • Experience with Belgian Tax law and regulations
  • Demonstrate a high level of ownership, reliability and accountability in delivering high-quality work products.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to understand the broader business context.
  • Ability to critically assess information received from stakeholders, identify inconsistencies and challenge assumptions where appropriate.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to develop a broader exposure to international tax matters while maintaining a strong focus on indirect taxation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as French or Dutch.
