About the Role

The Group Supplier Enablement & Helpdesk Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring seamless supplier onboarding and delivering high-quality Buy & Pay helpdesk support. The role is responsible for effectively enabling suppliers, managing onboarding activities, and ensuring the efficient use of supplier platforms. It also provides first-line support for supplier and internal stakeholder queries, drives continuous improvement across supplier-related processes and systems, and ensures adherence to procurement policies and compliance standards.

What will your day look like?

  • Facilitate end-to-end supplier onboarding across platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, ERP systems).
  • Ensure suppliers are trained and enabled to transact electronically.
  • Maintain accurate supplier master data and documentation.
  • Drive supplier adoption of the Ariba Network, including guiding suppliers through registration, account setup, and transactional enablement.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for supplier and internal stakeholder queries.
  • Resolve issues related to purchase orders, invoices, payments, and portal access.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams and ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain Process documents, FAQs, and knowledge base articles for supplier support.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose process or system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with IT, Procurement, and Finance to implement improvements.
  • Track and report on helpdesk performance and supplier satisfaction.
  • Generate and analyse reports on supplier onboarding, ticket volumes, resolution times, and satisfaction scores.
  • Guide, manage, and oversee BAU operations handled by the BPO team, ensuring adherence to SLAs, quality standards, and process consistency.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Operational management experience
  • Effective people management and BPO oversight skills
  • Deep domain expertise in Procurement and S2P processes
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP Ariba
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Strong customer service orientation and issue‑resolution capability
  • Solid understanding of procurement policies and compliance requirements
  • High proficiency in supplier platforms, ERP systems, and ticketing/reporting tools (Excel/Power BI)

‘Good to have’ knowledge, skills and experiences

  • Knowledge of cross functional processes across Procurement, Finance, and IT
  • Experience with supplier risk assessment or supplier performance management tools
  • Exposure to BPO governance models and vendor performance management
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies
