We are looking for an experienced people leader to join us as a Group Product Manager, Distribution (L7). Reporting directly to the Director of Product Management for Music Distribution, you will own a core distribution platform that powers our global operations.
In this role, you will lead and coach a team of Product Managers across the entire distribution product space—including rights and royalties, digital supply chain, analytics, and internal tooling. Your team’s work will directly enable our internal operators to successfully deliver our artists' work to their audiences globally.
A critical key to success in this role is your ability to effectively lead a globally distributed product team. You will serve as the primary leader and operational anchor for team members who are geographically dispersed, providing strong mentorship, alignment, and day-to-day leadership.
People Leadership & Global Team Management: Directly manage, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers spread across global timezones. Build a strong, cohesive team culture across geographic boundaries, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and support for team members working remotely.
Product Strategy & Delivery: Drive the platform strategy and roadmap for our distribution ecosystem across rights and royalties, digital supply chain, analytics, and internal tooling, ensuring alignment with WMG’s broader distribution tech strategy.
Empower Internal Operators: Focus on building intuitive internal tooling and streamlined workflows that empower our operations teams to deliver catalog and new releases accurately and seamlessly.
Continuous Discovery & Innovation: Foster a culture of persistent discovery. Ensure your PMs work closely with engineering and design ("Product Trios") to continuously validate ideas for Value, Usability, Feasibility, and Business Viability before shipping.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with business operations, legal, finance, engineering, and product leadership to align priorities, mitigate risks, and navigate the complex, high-stakes requirements of global digital delivery.
Operational Excellence: Define clear performance metrics, manage technical debt thoughtfully, and ensure high operational reliability across the platform's features and services.
Product Management Experience: You bring significant experience (5-7 years) in product management. Bonus if your background is in digital supply chain, rights management, or complex enterprise SaaS platforms.
Proven Global Leader: You have demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and scaling global product teams across diverse timezones (e.g., EMEA, APAC, Americas). You know how to build trust, foster collaboration, and lead effectively when managing remote team members.
Strong Technical & Business Acumen: You can comfortably bridge the gap between technical architecture and business operations, ensuring that the platforms you build solve real operator pain points while remaining scalable and viable.
Master Disambiguator: You excel at translating complex technical or domain concepts for different audiences and can align cross-functional stakeholders across global offices.
Biased to Action: You know how to unblock teams, make tough prioritization decisions, and navigate ambiguity. You lead with humility, share credit with your team, and take ownership of outcomes.
Mission-Driven: You are a music fan motivated by the fact that your work directly impacts an artist’s ability to grow their career and get paid.
