The Group Manager Insights and Innovation serves as a strategic catalyst for commercial growth, inspiring multi-functional brand teams and senior leadership by leveraging deep consumer insights to solve complex business issues. This global role independently oversees high-priority strategy and innovation initiatives, collaborating closely with key marketing directors to effectively inform, shape, and influence long-term portfolio direction and deliver highly profitable brand solutions enterprise-wide.
What You Can Expect:
Strategic Planning and Insights Integration: Partners with cross-functional leadership and commercial teams during joint business planning to transform complex macro data, market trends, and consumer-led KPIs into long-range brand-building strategy portfolios.
Consumer Knowledge and Platform Exploitation: Directs the utilization of advanced global data platforms to manipulate databases, continuous trackers, and ad-hoc quantitative or qualitative research methodologies that systematically unearth critical brand growth opportunities.
Innovation Management and Pipeline Architecture: Leads the full innovation lifecycle by applying design thinking to direct ideation, rapid prototyping, pipeline architecture development, and sustainable market launch mapping three to five years out.
Research Implementation and Agency Governance: Controls the commissioning, design, fieldwork, and stakeholder debriefing for complex research projects while overseeing contracts and data validity from third-party market research suppliers.
Commercial Consultation and Cross-Functional Partnership: Acts as a vital commercial business partner and challenger across brand, sales, and finance departments, steering the collective insight agenda to answer vital growth questions.
Special Project Execution and Capability Building: Spearheads high-impact regional or global special initiatives to embed progressive research approaches, tools, and standardized analytical frameworks across international corporate operations.
Visionary Leadership and Talent Development: Fosters a diverse, inclusive, and experimental team culture by identifying capability gaps, mentoring direct reports through coaching, and establishing powerful commercial leadership alliances.
What You Bring to the Table:
Professional Consumer Planning Experience: Minimum 7 years of consumer planning or specialized marketing expertise within the consumer goods sector, preferably combining research agency and corporate client-side roles.
Advanced Research and Statistical Competency: Mastery of quantitative research methodologies, advanced statistical analysis, segmentation studies, usage and attitude (U&A) evaluations, and conceptual framework validation.
Data Synthesis and Software Mastery: Expert technical aptitude for manipulating, interrogating, and synthesizing complex databases utilizing data analysis software, continuous consumer panels, and advanced spreadsheet tools.
Digital Literacy and Analytical Skills: Deep understanding of contemporary digital ecosystem structures, paired with strong attention to precision to formulate logical, data-driven operational hypotheses.
Global Collaboration and Communication: Exceptional professional communication proficiency in written and spoken English, along with a willingness to travel as required to support business initiatives.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related commercial field.
