Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. RTR Operations Management Lead and manage end-to-end RTR operations, including: General Ledger accounting Journal Entries Account Reconciliations Intercompany accounting and reconciliations Fixed Assets accounting Accruals and Prepayments Balance Sheet reviews Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Financial reporting and management reporting Ensure all activities are completed accurately and within agreed timelines and SLAs. Monitor operational performance, identify risks and bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions. Drive improvements in close timelines, process accuracy, and overall operational efficiency.
  2. People Leadership Lead and manage a large RTR team through Managers, Assistant Managers, Team Leaders, and SMEs. Establish clear performance expectations and ensure effective performance management across the team. Develop a strong talent pipeline through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and capability development. Ensure appropriate staffing, workload distribution, and resource utilization. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and employee engagement.
  3. Client and Stakeholder Management Act as a senior point of contact for client stakeholders and internal leadership. Build and maintain strong relationships with Finance, Controllership, Business Units, and other key stakeholders. Lead governance meetings and provide updates on operational performance, key risks, improvement initiatives, and transformation opportunities. Manage escalations effectively and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
  4. Governance, Risk and Controls Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, SOX requirements, and client-specific controls, where applicable. Maintain strong governance around Journal Entries, Account Reconciliations, Balance Sheet Reviews, and Month-End Close. Identify control gaps and operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation plans. Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  5. Continuous Improvement and Transformation Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, automation, and digitization. Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and turnaround time. Partner with Automation, Technology, and Transformation teams to implement RPA, workflow automation, AI, and analytics solutions. Drive standardization and best-practice sharing across processes and teams.
  6. Performance and Commercial Management Monitor and manage key performance indicators, including: SLA adherence Month-end close timelines Journal Entry accuracy and turnaround time Reconciliation completion and aging Quality and error rates Productivity and utilization Backlog and aging Customer satisfaction Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps. Support workforce planning, capacity management, budgeting, and productivity initiatives. Identify and deliver agreed efficiency and cost optimization opportunities.
