Experience: minimum 10 years of relevant actuarial work experience in insurance industry

We are seeking an experienced Pricing Actuary to support General Insurance – Commercial Lines, with a focus on Casualty business.

This role is responsible for end‑to‑end pricing analytics, including the development of pricing models and rating tools, and works with actuarial and underwriting stakeholders across regions. This role also provides technical leadership and mentoring within the pricing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and undertake end‑to‑end pricing analytics, including data preparation, technical pricing model development, validation, and impact analysis
  • Manage rate change implementation, ensuring robust version control, documentation, and compliance with governance standards
  • Contribute to portfolio monitoring, including rate adequacy assessments and annual rate reviews
  • Maintains strong quality controls and standards throughout the pricing process
  • Identify and drive process improvements, contributing to the design, build, testing, and implementation of enhanced or new processes
  • Build and maintain positive working relationship with key stakeholders across regions
  • Present clear and well-structured analysis to appropriate audiences
  • Provide support and guidance to junior members of the pricing team

About you

You will have proven experience in a similar actuarial pricing role within General Insurance, with strong technical capability and stakeholder management skills. You will also bring:

  • Fellow of the Actuaries Institute or equivalent (preferred)
  • Proven experience working with large and complex datasets and building complex predictive models using standard pricing techniques (including but not limited to GLMs, Machine Learning)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills, ability to manage competing prioritises, meet deadlines and work independently
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a desire for continuous learning and development
  • Proven experience leading and developing junior members of the team
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R) and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)
