Key Responsibilities
AsGroup PrivacyAdviser,you’ll
Provide practical privacy, data protection, digital and AI legal advice to teams and functions across Bupa.
Supportteams and functions across Bupabycarrying outData Protection Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest Assessmentsand reviewingData Processing Agreements and intra-group agreements.
Help develop andmaintainBupa’s Enterprise Privacy Policy, standards,governanceand reporting.
Keep up to date with changes in privacy law, digitalregulationand external best practice.
Help build privacy awarenessand capabilityacross Bupa through briefings,guidanceand training.
Support the assessment and implementation ofnew technology,dataand AI solutions, helping to embed privacy by design.
Work in line with Bupa’s values: Brave, Caring and Responsible.
WhatWe’reLooking For
We’relooking for someone with strong privacy, data, digital and AI knowledge, who can turn complex legal topics into clear, practical advice.
You’llbring:
Experience as alegal orprivacy professional or similar, with specialist knowledge of privacy, data, digital and AIlawor regulation.
A legal qualification or professional privacy certification, such as CIPP/E, CIPP/M or equivalentwould be desirable.
A customer centric approachwithexperienceingiving clear, commercially awarepracticalandtimelyadvice.
Experience reviewingandnegotiating commercial contracts, including data protectionand AIterms.
Strong communicationskills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to different audiences.
Experienceimplementing policies, procedures,governanceandreporting in a global setting.
Confidenceinmaking sound judgements, sometimes with incomplete information
The ability to work independently, stay organised and manage priorities.
A collaborative approach, with theability to work effectively across different and diverseteamsandconfidence to challenge where needed and suggest practical alternatives.
Enthusiasm for adoptingnew technologyand new ways of working.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Experience in a multinational organisation, insurance,healthcareor care setting would be helpful, butit’snot essential.
