Job Description


Job Summary:


The
Group HR
Director

serves as a key member of the executive leadership team,
responsible for developing and executing a high-impact people strategy that
supports the long-term vision of the group. This role provides
strategic
direction and oversight

for all human capital initiatives across multiple
subsidiaries and business entities, fostering a culture of performance,
innovation, and accountability.

forward-thinking HR leader

who brings both global
perspective and local execution, capable of aligning people's capabilities with
the group’s strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:


1. People Strategy & Organizational
Design


  • Define and execute a comprehensive
    HR strategy aligned with the group’s overall business objectives and
    growth agenda.

  • Lead group-level organizational
    design, workforce planning, and talent architecture across diverse
    industries or subsidiaries.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the
    Board and senior executives on organizational effectiveness, leadership
    succession, and people risk.


2. Culture, Change & Leadership


  • Drive cultural transformation
    initiatives across the group to support high performance, accountability,
    and agility.

  • Build strong leadership pipelines
    through strategic talent development, succession planning, and executive
    coaching.

  • Lead change management strategies
    during key organizational transitions such as expansions, or
    restructuring.


3. Governance, Compliance & Risk


  • Develop and standardise HR
    governance frameworks, policies, and processes across all subsidiaries,
    ensuring local compliance and global best practices.

  • Monitor and mitigate
    people-related risks, including regulatory risks, reputational risks, and
    workforce disruptions.

  • Ensure ethical standards, employee
    relations practices, and grievance mechanisms are in place and aligned
    with corporate governance.


4. Talent Acquisition, Capability
Building & Retention


  • Establish an employer brand
    strategy that positions the group as a top employer across sectors.

  • Oversee senior-level recruitment
    and strategic talent acquisition programs across the group.

  • Build capability frameworks that
    support digital transformation, innovation, and cross-functional agility.


5. Compensation, Reward &
Performance Strategy


  • Design and implement executive
    compensation, benefits, and long-term incentive programs tied to business
    performance.

  • Promote a performance-driven
    culture through robust KPIs, and reward mechanisms that align with
    business outcomes.

  • Benchmark reward strategies to
    maintain competitiveness in local and international markets.


6. HR Technology & Analytics


  • Lead the group’s digital HR
    transformation through implementation of integrated HR systems (HCM
    platforms, data dashboards, etc.).

  • Use people analytics to deliver
    insights and drive strategic decisions around workforce trends,
    engagement, and productivity.


Requirements


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human
    Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related
    field; MBA or Master’s preferred.

  • 15+ years of progressive HR
    leadership experience, including 5+ years in a
    Group or Corporate HR

    role.

  • Demonstrated success in driving
    business-aligned HR strategy in complex, matrix or multi-industry
    environments.

  • Experience working with executives
    teams and boards of directors.

  • Professional certification (e.g.,
    CIPD, SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is an advantage.

About CIG Motors Co., Ltd

CIG Motors Co., Ltd is the representative of GAC Motor in Nigeria. It began

its operations in 2013 following a pact signed with Guangzhou Group

Automobile Group Co., (GAC Motor) to establish and manage

distribution networks in Nigeria and subsequently Africa.

CIG Motors Co., Ltd started with the introduction of 2 major models;

the GA3 Saloon and GS5 SUV models of GAC Motor; with a subsequent

introduction of 3 more models in 2016 and 2017. As at date, CIG Motors

has introduced 6 GAC Motor models into the Nigerian market; GA3,

GA3S, GS3, GS4 and the Standard Luxury SUV GS8 (which is the flagship

model). CIG Motors Co., Ltd recently introduced the Mini Space Bus GN8

and intends to cover the Nigerian market with the world’s best in terms

of automobiles.

CIG Motors Co., Ltd recently signed another landmark technical assembly

agreement with a new partner, Jiangxi Jiangling Motors Import and

Export Co., Ltd, thereby extending it’s vehicle models to include all

commercial vehicles and cars of GAC, ZNA, Dongfeng (DFAC) and

JMC brands.

The company holds its brands in very high esteem and makes very

conscious investments behind the master brand and a focused

communication investment in the value proposition packages.
