THE JOB:

As a Group Housing Training Lead, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of a high-performing reservations team. In this influential position, you will partner with leadership to design, deliver, and continuously enhance onboarding and training programs across multiple hotel teams, ensuring employees have the knowledge, tools, and confidence to excel. As the Subject Matter Expert for key reservation systems, you'll drive operational excellence by supporting system enhancements, developing best practices, and aligning training strategies across the organization. Beyond training, you'll have the opportunity to coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a collaborative culture built on teamwork, recognition, continuous learning, and exceptional service. This position is based in Las Vegas, NV at one of our corporate offices.

THE STARTING RATE:

  • $24.00 per hour


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Become a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in all systems utilized within Group Reservations, including but not limited to Opera, Passkey, B4Checkin, & Amadeus.

  • With the support of the Group Reservations Training Manager, prepare and manage the daily execution of our onboarding and maintenance training needs, for both of the hotel pods encompassed within the Group Reservations team.

  • Works with departmental leadership in strategizing the use of our key systems and supporting the efforts related to system upgrades, changes, & enhancements."

  • Assist in supervision of the Group Reservations Specialists, to include training, coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback."

  • Support the direction from leadership pertaining to all departmental training programs, managing the onboarding and maintenance training needs for the department, inclusive but not limited to scheduling and coordinating all training and working with department leadership teams to identify key training opportunities.

  • Supports the development of the key training alignments between the current two hotel pod teams and manages the development and training of policies and procedures as such. Ensures that training is pertinent to all team members and customizes training based on pod technology utilization within each group, as appropriate.

  • Creates a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must have an Associate's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Must have at least two (2) years of prior relevant experience

  • Training experience in Group Reservations and/or Hotel Operations (preferred)

  • Technical understanding of Hotel Property Management Systems such as Opera, Passkey, Amadeus and Cognos (preferred)
