Job Description

Ever tried building one reward strategy that has to work across 15 brands, from front-line negotiators to the Executive team?

That's the brief for our new Head of Total Reward, a 6-month fixed-term contract with a view to becoming permanent. You'll be based at our head office, working hybrid with two to three days a week in the office, & reporting to the Group People Director with a dotted line to our Chief People Officer. Lomond Group has grown through acquisition, so pay & benefits vary between brands. Your job is to bring them into one group-wide approach that is competitive, affordable, fair & compliant.

What you'll be doing

  • Setting a group reward philosophy & multi-year roadmap aligned to our growth & acquisition plans
  • Advising senior leaders & the Remuneration Committee on pay with evidence-based, commercially grounded recommendations
  • Auditing & redesigning every commission plan so each is documented, costed, compliant & rewards quality as well as volume
  • Building a group job architecture & regional pay ranges, backed by credible benchmarking
  • Reviewing the low-base, high-commission model in front-line roles & designing a consistent group bonus framework
  • Leading Executive reward, including long-term incentive arrangements
  • Shaping a group benefits strategy & owning pension compliance
  • Leading reward on acquisitions, from due diligence to integration onto group frameworks
  • Running the annual pay review, Gender Pay Gap reporting & reward dashboards in our Power BI analytics platform

What you'll need

We're not just looking for someone who fits our team; we want to be a good fit for you too! We're looking for individuals with qualities such as:

  • Experience designing commission & incentive plans for front-line, revenue-generating roles
  • Skill in salary benchmarking, job architecture & pay range design
  • Experience advising on executive reward & preparing Remuneration Committee papers
  • Working knowledge of UK employment law, tax & pensions regulation as it applies to pay
  • The ability to turn reward data & cost models into clear recommendations
  • The ability to challenge senior, commercially driven leaders & explain complex pay in plain language

Here's what you can look forward to

At Lomond Group, we believe in taking care of our people. That's why we offer some amazing perks and benefits through our engagement platform, LOMONDlife, such as:

  • 28 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

  • Recognition for length of service, marked with special days & celebrations
  • Funded professional qualifications to back your development & career growth
  • Regular company socials, because we work hard & socialise even harder
  • Access discounts at over 900 retailers through our smart spending app, plus a wellbeing centre with resources to help you stay active, eat well, build financial confidence & look after your mental health
