About the Role… Lead the development of a Group-wide fraud prevention and investigations capability across Australia and New Zealand. Drive intelligence-led detection, investigations and governance to combat internal fraud, external fraud and organised retail crime while strengthening controls and protecting profit.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Shape the Fraud Strategy - Build and implement a Group-wide fraud prevention and investigations framework, establishing the operating model, governance, policies and performance measures that drive consistency, accountability and long-term capability across the business.
  • Lead Investigations & Intelligence - Oversee complex internal, external and organised retail crime investigations, ensuring evidence-based, compliant and commercially focused outcomes while partnering with law enforcement and key stakeholders.
  • Drive Data-Led Fraud Detection - Leverage analytics, technology and intelligence to proactively identify emerging fraud risks, improve detection capability and deliver actionable insights that reduce loss and strengthen controls.
  • Strengthen Governance & Controls - Develop policies, procedures and risk mitigation strategies that enhance fraud prevention, ensure compliance and support informed decision-making across the Group.
  • Build Business-Wide Capability - Foster a fraud-aware culture through stakeholder engagement, education and coaching, empowering teams across stores, supply chain and support offices to prevent, identify and respond to fraud risks.

What You'll Bring…We're looking for a strategic leader with a strong investigations background who can influence at all levels and drive meaningful change. You’ll likely bring…

  • Strategic Fraud Leadership - Bring deep expertise in fraud prevention, investigations, intelligence, asset protection, financial crime or loss prevention, with the ability to build and lead a best-practice fraud capability.
  • Investigations Excellence - Demonstrated experience leading complex, high-risk investigations across multiple jurisdictions, stakeholder groups and business functions.
  • Risk, Governance & Compliance Expertise - Strong understanding of fraud risk management, governance frameworks, regulatory obligations and compliance requirements, coupled with sound judgement and decision-making.
  • Capability Building & Operational Design - Proven success designing and implementing fraud frameworks, operating models, controls and processes that deliver sustainable business outcomes.
  • Data & Technology Mindset - Experience leveraging analytics, technology and intelligence-led approaches to enhance fraud detection, uncover emerging risks and drive proactive prevention strategies.
  • Influence, Integrity & Partnerships - Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive and operational leaders, build trusted partnerships with Legal and external agencies, and operate with the highest levels of integrity, professionalism and discretion.
