As part of this continued growth, we are seeking a commercially driven Fleet and Maintenance Manager to take full ownership of fleet performance, supplier strategy, and cost control across the Group. Reporting directly to Group Operations Management, this is a pivotal role with significant influence, playing a key part in shaping fleet strategy, advising on vehicle investment decisions, and driving operational and commercial excellence.

The Lockwood Group is a family run business and currently has over 300 employees across 5 UK sites. The group’s activities include UK haulage and storage, co-pack and frozen food production.
Established in 1965, frozen food business Lockwoods Ltd purchased a number of vehicles to deliver it’s frozen mushy peas. As refrigerated vehicles were a relatively new idea at the time and the peas required chilled deliveries this meant that deliveries were only made during the winter months during the cold weather. This left the delivery vehicles idle during the rest of the year and they were soon put to use delivering goods for a completely new set of customers.
