Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Group Fitness Yoga Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of yoga principles and techniques, combined with the ability to inspire and motivate participants of all fitness levels in a group setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and deliver engaging group yoga classes that cater to a diverse range of fitness levels and abilities
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants
  • Demonstrate proper yoga poses, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices
  • Provide clear instruction and hands-on guidance to ensure correct form and prevent injury
  • Modify poses and sequences to accommodate participants with varying physical limitations or experience levels
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of yoga trends, techniques, and best practices
  • Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback and encouragement
  • Ensure all equipment and studio spaces are clean, organised, and maintained to the highest standards
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and facility policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with participants, colleagues, and management

Required Qualifications

  • Recognised Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certification of 200 hours or more from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with a recognised yoga or fitness governing body
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Proven experience teaching group yoga classes in a professional setting
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the principles of safe movement

  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit the needs of diverse groups
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Experience with multiple yoga disciplines such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, or Restorative yoga is highly regarded

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
