Are you passionate about fitness and love making a splash? We're looking for an enthusiastic Aqua Aerobics Instructor to join our amazing team and help our members dive into fitness while having a blast!

What You'll Be Doing

As our Aqua Aerobics Instructor, you'll be the energy behind our water-based fitness classes, creating a fun and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable getting their heart pumping. You'll lead engaging sessions that combine the benefits of cardio, strength training, and flexibility work - all while keeping things light-hearted and enjoyable!

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading dynamic and safe aqua aerobics classes for participants of all fitness levels
  • Creating varied and exciting workout routines that keep members coming back for more
  • Demonstrating proper form and technique both in and out of the water
  • Providing modifications for different abilities and physical limitations
  • Maintaining a positive and encouraging atmosphere during all sessions
  • Ensuring pool area safety and cleanliness standards are met
  • Building relationships with members and helping them achieve their fitness goals
  • Staying current with aqua fitness trends and continuing education opportunities

What We're Looking For

We'd love to meet someone who brings both expertise and enthusiasm to the pool deck! Here's what would make you a perfect fit:

  • Certified Aqua Fitness Instructor qualification
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Strong swimming abilities and comfort in water environments
  • Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to motivate others
  • Experience working with diverse age groups and fitness levels
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
  • Passion for health, wellness, and helping others succeed
  • Flexibility with scheduling including early mornings or evenings

About The Royal Children's Hospital

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
