What You'll Be Doing

As our Group Fitness Instructor, you'll be at the heart of our fitness community, delivering outstanding classes and creating an atmosphere that keeps members coming back for more! Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering exciting, safe, and effective group fitness classes that cater to a variety of fitness levels
  • Motivating and encouraging participants throughout every session to push their limits and achieve their personal best
  • Demonstrating correct exercise techniques and providing modifications to ensure everyone feels included and supported
  • Creating a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every participant feels valued and energised
  • Monitoring participant progress and adapting class content to meet the evolving needs of the group
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of current fitness trends and incorporating fresh, innovative ideas into class programming
  • Ensuring all equipment is set up safely before class and packed away correctly afterwards
  • Building strong relationships with members and fostering a vibrant fitness community
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and facility guidelines at all times

What We're Looking For

We're searching for someone who brings incredible energy and passion to everything they do! The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognised Group Fitness Instructor qualification or certification
  • A current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Proven experience delivering group fitness classes in a professional setting
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for health, fitness, and helping others succeed
  • The ability to adapt and connect with participants of all fitness levels and backgrounds
  • Exceptional time management and reliability
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and motivating personality that lights up the room

About The Royal Children's Hospital

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
