The position is located at Scania’s head office in Södertälje. In this position as Group Financial controller – Tax, you will work closely with the Tax department and in particular with the Tax controller. You will be responsible for the tax analysis and quality assurance of the tax reporting from the business to our stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Group reporting and group accounting concerning Tax (current and deferred taxes) both internally within Scania as well to the parent company Traton and the owner Volkswagen.
  • Follow-up and analysis of taxes from a group perspective
  • Support to Scania entities in tax reporting
  • Expert user of the tax application Global Tax Centre (GTC)
  • Responsibility for tax notes in the Annual Report
  • Keep updated in accounting and regulations concerning taxes
  • Identify and implement process improvements, participate in projects, and handle ad hoc assignments

Who You Are

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a Master of science in Business administration & economics, specializing in accounting. You have a many years of experience of group reporting and group accounting. Previous experience working with tax reporting is considered an advantage. You are used to work with reporting/accounting applications and are an experienced Excel user with interest in IT systems. Since Scania operates in an international environment, it is important that you are able to communicate in both English and Swedish, verbally and in writing.

In the role as Group Financial Controller at Scania, you need strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to solve complex problems. We believe that you are a person who likes structure and is accurate. You are used to working towards goals and driving change projects which means that you have a high delivery capacity. You should have the ability to both work independently and as part of a team. A service-minded and solution-oriented attitude is something we place great value in, therefore you need to have both social and communicative skills in this position.

Group Accounting is a department within Corporate Control, which is responsible for group accounting, consolidation and follow-up of the Scania group. Deliveries from the department include Scania’s Annual report, reports and analysis of financial performance of the Scania group to Scania’s CFO and executive board as well as reporting to the parent company TRATON. This mission demands qualitative, timely and relevant financial information.
