Group Finance Manager - 5 Month Fixed Term Contract

Description

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to support the Group Finance team through the year-end reporting cycle.

The role is focused on Group reporting, technical accounting, external audit and tax reporting. The successful candidate will have experience within a Group Reporting or Financial Reporting function of an AIM-listed or other listed company and be comfortable working as part of a collaborative, hands-on team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the Group's year-end reporting process and annual report.
• Prepare technical accounting assessments and supporting papers under IFRS.
• Lead or support goodwill and intangible asset impairment reviews.
• Support accounting for acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and other non-routine transactions.
• Coordinate external audit requirements and manage audit queries.
• Support tax accounting, deferred tax calculations and financial statement disclosures.
• Prepare and review Group consolidation schedules and supporting reconciliations.
• Provide technical support across the Group Finance team, including monthly reporting and consolidation activities.
• Support improvements in reporting processes, controls and documentation.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Significant experience within a Group Reporting, Financial Reporting or Technical Accounting function of an AIM-listed or other listed company.
• Proven experience of Group consolidations, annual report preparation and year-end audit processes.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing technical accounting assessments and impairment reviews.
• Good understanding of tax accounting and financial statement disclosures.
• Experience using consolidation and financial reporting systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Desirable

• Experience within a multi-entity international group.
• Experience in media, marketing services, consulting or other professional services businesses.
